About me
Hey, I’m Marianne Both.
German is my mother tongue and I really love to teach languages to other people.
Therefore I have studied teaching English and French at Johannes Gutenberg – University Mainz for several years. Right now I’m doing my Master’s degree in ‘teaching German as a foreign language’, which I’m going to finish in August 2026. Between my studies I worked at ‘Kinderschutzbund Mainz’ as an educationalist for children with flight an migration experience.
During my studies I have not only gained profound knowledge about the German language but also a lot of practical experience in schools, language institutes and as a private teacher. Recently I lectured a German intensive course for international students at Frankfurt University of Applied Siences.
Throughout my professional career I developed a teaching style that is both effective and enyoyabe. I have worked with different people of all ages and origins. With the help of my passion for teaching and my patient attitude they were able to discover: Everybody can learn German and most importantly – it’s fun!
Just as much as I love teaching languages I love learning them myself. Recently I have started to learn Turkish on A.1. level. Therefore I have experienced myself the challenges of learning a language, that completely differs from the own mother tongue, which lead to a deeper understanding for my students.
